About Pastor Jovan & Angel Blake

Pastor Jovan Blake is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Divinity Christian Fellowship, a Multi-Cultural church that is growing rapidly. The focus of the ministry is to exemplify the love of Jesus Christ with a passion for reaching out to the young adults in his generation. His ministry operates in demonstration of the five-fold ministry gifts.

Pastor Jovan & Angel Blake Pastor "J", as he is affectionally called, is a pastor with a global mission, which is to "Empower this generation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ." He believes that the church’s responsibility is to effectively minister to the needs of this generation through innovative ways that are relevant to the day and time we’re in today. His preaching focuses on empowering believers spiritually, educationally, culturally, and economically.

A bible school student, Pastor "J" has pursued his biblical education at Bethany Bible College, and Southwest Bible College located in Southern California. Pastor Blake is a much sought after speaker and has preached at several conferences, crusades and revivals. At an early age, the Lord spoke to him and said, "I'm going to use you to declare My word to a generation of people who are lost, a generation who have been despised and rejected, and they shall come out of darkness, and into My marvelous light."

At the age of 11 he was filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Shortly after that at the age of 12 he preached his first sermon entitled, "Youth Sold Out for Christ," and it was evident then that the hand of the Lord was upon him mightily. Since that time God has used him mightily, and he always says, "If it had not been for the foundation and training that was laid at his home church, the Gethsemane Tabernacle COGIC under the leadership of the late Bishop Albert J. Clark, he would not have made it this far within his ministry."

Pastor Blake is married to the lovely Angel Jordan, and they have two beautiful children together, Christopher Blake & Heaven Joy Blake. Angel currently serves as the Praise & Worship leader at Divinity Christian Fellowship. With a heart and passion for young teen mothers, God has impressed upon her heart to open a facility in the future, that will minister to young mothers everywhere both naturally and spiritually. Angel is a strong support to her husband and the ministry. Angel is a graduate of California State University of Northridge with a BS in Political Science. Pastor Blake is the former president of Anointed Vessels Ministries, a online ministry that he founded in the summer of 2001 that reached across and touched so many peoples lives all over America, Canada, and Jamaica.

B. Our ministry ministers to the surrounding communities of our church by spreading the Gospel & Love of Jesus Christ. The church sponsor’s a annual "Community Day" which consist of a Praise Block Party & Health Fair for the surrounding communities.

Statement of Faith

We believe the bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and that the regeneration of the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world.
